Correction Drill #6:
Skip forward and follow through to target

Skip forward as you kick and really follow through to your target.

Keep your body moving toward the ball β€” smooth, controlled, and locked in for a dead-straight finish.

FOCUS POINTS:

  • Bend at the waist, keep shoulders and hips pointing forward.
  • Skip forward after the kick and all the momentum will continue straight.
  • Post kick - walk 2 more steps directly at the target - often players pull back or fall off line.
  • If you continue momentum straight after the kick then this tells the ball to go straight an not off line.
