Correction Drill #2:
Ball alignment

What we're looking at here is ball alignment to give you a straighter kick.

So, if you are missing your kicks or they're going inside or outside then this drill will help you to improve your technique.

FOCUS POINTS:

  • Draw a line down the middle of your thigh so that you can visually align the Precision spin line with the middle of your leg.
  • If you're missing inside or outside then this visual will help you to keep the ball straight and inline.
  • Practice walking along the markings on the ground keeping the ball still and building up to kick (making sure the ball doesn't move).
  • We're aiming to have less moving parts when we get ready to kick.
  • If you are filming this technique then having a line drawn on your thigh will help give you feedback as to whether the ball is aligned or not when coming to kick.
