Sherrin Announce the 2024 ANZAC Appeal Round Range

Sherrin was honoured to have veterans John Meehan and Ray McCarthy visit its manufacturing facility on Friday to see the creation of the ANZAC Appeal Round game balls ahead of Round 7 of the AFL getting underway next week.

The commemorative ANZAC Appeal Round game balls feature the ANZAC Appeal logo, competing teams, date and location for the match, with three specialised game balls created for the ANZAC Eve and two ANZAC Day clashes. Fans are able to purchase the game ball for the traditional ANZAC Day game, as well as the ANZAC Eve game ball, as well as a takedown range.

Produced by hand at Sherrin’s factory in Keysborough, Victoria, 260 game balls are available for purchase alongside the wider 2024 Sherrin ANZAC Appeal Round range, with 15% of the proceeds from the sales donated to RSL Victoria’s ANZAC Appeal.

The ANZAC Appeal supports veterans and their families in their time of need, and contributions help RSL Victoria continue to deliver live-changing support to the ex-service community.

Meehan and McCarthy, who both served in the Australian Army as a Corporal and Sapper Royal Australian Engineer respectively, are now the President and Vice President of the Noble Park RSL, delivering local support to veterans, their families and carers.

Sherrin Marketing Director, Naomi Maclean said Sherrin is honoured to be involved in the 2024 ANZAC Appeal and hopes to build on donation numbers.

“The ANZAC Eve and ANZAC Day blockbuster games always put on a show for AFL fans, but really it’s about remembering and paying tribute to those who have served for their country – Sherrin is proud to play a part in this commemoration with RSL Victoria,” Maclean said.

“Raising over $5,000 for RSL Victoria in 2023, we are looking to once again build on that number and encourage fans to get their hands on these iconic game balls that are unique and collectable items contributing to a worthy cause.”

“As RSL Victoria’s ANZAC Appeal efforts progress and we look forward to the ANZAC Appeal Round, we are deeply grateful to Sherrin for their unwavering support and the commitment to supporting veterans and their families with proceeds from the sale of these iconic game balls,” said Sue Cattermole, CEO of RSL Victoria.

“The ANZAC Appeal is a vital initiative that provides essential support to our ex-service community, and we are thrilled to partner with Sherrin once again for this meaningful cause.”
