Elite Kicking Feedback - Part 1

The below drill covers Elite Kicking Feedback and starts with an end-to-end kicking drill but with a bit of variety, which you can incorporate into your drills at home.

FOCUS POINTS:

  • Step 1:
Start by kicking the ball to each other. You want to make the ball spin, so be sure to hit the sweet spot when kicking the ball and to try and keep the same trajectory. By hitting the same spot on your foot each time will keep the kicking consistent and that way you will see the Precision spin line stand up and give you great feedback on how you should be kicking.
  • Step 2:
The next drill to practice is spinning around in a circle, coming back into line and then kicking towards the target. Once you’ve got that down, the next step is to put the ball on the ground, set your feet quickly and then kick to hit the target.
  • Step 3:
Try throwing the ball up into the air, stepping back off the mark like you would when marking the ball, looking at your target, coming forward, watching the ball and then kicking towards your target. You want to make sure you keep your head down when kicking to your target and have trust in your kick.
