Gather Round for a Festival of Footy

Gather Round is back again, as all 18 AFL clubs come together in South Australia for a festival of footy across Round 5 from April 9-12.

For the fourth time, the AFL is set to celebrate Gather Round as the state of South Australia gears up for the biggest week in the home and away season. This year the round returns to the vineyards of the Barossa for the second time, as the stunning Barossa Park hosts two games across the weekend, with North Melbourne and Brisbane facing off on Saturday, while the Giants take on the Tigers on Sunday.

The vibrant suburb of Norwood will again come to life over Gather Round as Sydney take on Gold Coast on Saturday. The Norwood Food & Wine Festival then rolls in on Sunday, providing the perfect pre- or post-game scene across The Parade as the Cats square off against the Eagles at Norwood Oval.

Adelaide Oval will once again be the heartbeat of Gather Round hosting five games, kicking the weekend off with Adelaide and Carlton on Thursday night, as the Power and Saints close the round at the picturesque stadium on Sunday night.

Fans of State League footy will also have their thirst quenched with the SANFLW vs VFLW and SANFL vs VFL games both taking place at Stratarama Stadium in Glenelg on Saturday.

On top of it all, the Gather Round Footy Festival will once again be operating from 10am daily Thursday-Sunday, and this year fans can get their very own Personalised Gather Round Sherrin. Available in red and yellow, fans can get their name on a limited-edition size 3 Gather Round all-surface ball only available at the Footy Festival.

Shop the 2026 Sherrin Gather Round range or at all Gather Round venues and the AFL Superstore at the Footy Festival.
