Printing your name

After receiving your online order. Our team begins work on creating your ball. After cutting the 4 panels needed to match your colour and size, Our screen printers begin printing your chosen name on the main panel. Using a squeegee, this particular technique floods the screen which prints onto the flat panel.

Drying your name

The ink takes approx. 24 hours to dry in our racking, our printing team inspects the print one final time for any bleeding or cracking to the print before moving on to the next stage of production.

Stitching your name

Your name has finally been printed and the ink has now dried. Its time to start stitching all 4 panels of your ball together. The team begins stitching panels together using an industrial heavy duty sewing machine designed to penetrate premium Australian leather with no tearing or marks. 

Stitching your name

The balls are stitched with the red leather panels inside out to ensure the best-handcrafted stitching quality. Once all 4 panels are stitched together the staples holding the ends together are removed.

Shaping your name

Now your name ball is beginning to take shape. It’s time for the team to make sure the ball is nice and straight. Using the instruments our experts have been using for generations the team begin aligning the seams up, making sure the seam folds are straight and smooth. Resulting in the high quality and long-lasting performance you expect when kicking a Sherrin.

Bladdering your name

Your ball is close to being complete, but before you can put it on your mantle or kick it with a mate, We need to insert the bladder. A bladder is inserted and attached to the top panel to keep it firmly in place.

Lacing your name

The bladder has been inserted and its time to finalize your personalised Sherrin. Our experts begin lacing up the ball to close off the panels making sure the valve is positioned correctly to inflate.

Dispatching your name

The team will take one final look at your ball and make sure it passes all of our Sherrin quality assurance checks. Your ball is now finished and ready to be sent to your address. Our dispatch team will box up your ball with a KB display box, labelled and will now make its way via courier to your doorstep.
