Proceeds from each Sherrin sold will be donated to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander Community Programs.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
EMMA MACNEILL; MARTU WOMAN

This ball designed by Emma MacNeill represents our daughters. Our past daughters, our current daughters and our future daughters. The circle style shapes on the ball are all joining with pathways representing places; whether it be where we are from, where we have been too or where we are heading. Like each AFLW team, we come from different places with different cultural identities. Some speak different languages and some have different beliefs, but we are all joined through love for the game, and what it represents. The large U shapes on the ball are the women and men who raised us. Those who supported us unconditionally. Those who laid the foundations as we grow. They are the people who never stopped believing in us. And they are the people who dared us to dream big. The smaller U shapes represent us... the daughters! Deadly strong women who have broken stereotypes, faced changes fiercely and challenged the word “can’t.” The small circles that feature throughout the background of the design represent our spirit, our hope and our connection to one another that will forever carry on to the next generation and beyond.”
